oh la, how i love thee.

The Los Angeles portion of our Southern California vacation started here... I thought the rain would squash our plans, but everything totally worked out (imagine that) and we really enjoyed our cold, drizzly, gray LA days.

I was craving a hot breakfast so we started our day at The Griddle on Sunset Blvd. During breakfast we...
Included the waiter in our debate about if Michael Jackson's doctor is responsible (feel free to weigh in).
Saw a boy muster up the courage to ask the girl sitting next to us out on a date - she said yes. And then, he couldn't find a pen. We were so stressed out for him. Hello, cell phone? Poor guy.

After breakfast we stumbled upon Griffith Park and checked out the Greek Theater & Griffith Observatory.
I can only imagine the gorgeous views during a clear day. So beautiful. People that think LA is nothing but a smoggy, congested city are so wrong. There are tons of beautiful parks, open spaces, little lakes, hiking trails and adorable tree-lined neighborhoods throughout the city.

Then we decided to check out the neighborhoods of Los Felis and Silverlake.
Loved Silverlake. Enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee at Intelligentsia.

We ended the day with a margarita pizza, beer & wine at Jones in West Hollywood. Post-dinner we met Jared for drinks. We popped by The Roger Room, had a glass of wine at Comme Ca and a nightcap at The Belmont.

The following day we slept-in, met Jared for lunch at Joan's on Third and he finally delivered a legit celeb sighting. We finished lunch with a magic bar from the adorable Magnolia Bakery on Melrose.
