the yard just opened on monday and it's definitely unlike any other restaurant space that i know of in phoenix. first of all, it's huge. located in north central phoenix, it's an old 53,000 sqft. motorcycle dealership / garage converted into (soon to be two) restaurants, a bar, plus a giant game patio. currently, Culinary Dropout is open and there are plans to add another restaurant - an oyster bar - which will share the outside game/lounge space (more here).
the corn hole, ping pong, huge outdoor bar, comfy couches, adirondack chairs and fire pits have sunday funday written all over them. it's the kind of place you could spend hours upon hours at with friends. check out "the yard" here.
i came home to three happy boys on my couch.
the giant indoor/outdoor feeling back patio good for az winter, spring & summer.
