Xerox Is Doing Something Cool.
If you go to the website, LetsSayThanks.com, you can pick out a thank you card which Xerox will print and send to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services this holiday season.

It's FREE and only takes a second. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our soldiers, who will be away from their family and friends this Christmas, received a bunch of these?

My big brother Chris served six years in the Marine Corps which included two year-long tours of duty  overseas in Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai, Seychelles, Hawaii, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong & Australia. My mom always made an effort to send packages filled with food, homemade goodies and supplies plus cards and letters of love and support. To this day, he has the letters and will be the first to tell you they mean the world to soldiers.

A classic dive bar, The Coach House, is a Scottsdale staple - especially during the holidays. The Christmas decor is over-the-top tacky in the most wonderfully festive way. What's better than $2 Bud Lights and ridiculous amounts of Christmas lights? Exactly.

Apparently everyone feels the same way. Thankfully we got there just before the "one in, one out" line formed. It was so packed that Danny looked at me and said, "I feel like I'm at Guidos in 2003" - UA kids will get that.

Saturday night we were craving something easy and cozy so we ended up in our favorite bar seats at Postino (shocking, right?). We added the chicken artichoke soup to our usual bruchetta order and we're addicted. I've been feeling extra festive so I appreciate the Christmas decor at our neighborhood spot. However, I do have one request - I'd love some holiday music incorporated into the playlist this month. Just saying.

farewell, friends.

On Friday night we met Matt and Mallary for dinner to say farewell and wish them luck in their next chapter... in Des Moines, Iowa. Sadly, our friends are moving this week (sniff sniff). Both Matt and Mallary are from the Midwest and all the stars aligned for them to head back "home" this winter.

For our final dinner we tried the new Local Bistro and really enjoyed it. The food was great but the company was better. M&M - we'll miss our debate-filled dinners with you guys and can't wait to visit you in the Midwest.

Today's unseasonably warm December weather was the perfect excuse to start the weekend with a walk to Vincent's Camelback Farmers Market. We soaked up winter sunshine over mimosas and made to order omelet.

Still a little pink, but Huntie's nose job is healing quite well. We can already tell a big difference with his breathing and we're glad he got it. We tell him it wasn't a nose job but a "performance enhancing" procedure.
