two rooftop rehearsals.

i can't believe it's been a week since colby and jake said i do! the night before colby and jake's big day (here), the bridal party gathered on the rooftop of Hotel Palomar in downtown san diego for ceremony rehearsal.

{rachel, the amazing weekend wedding coordinator, getting everyone organized}
{colby's brother & jake's sister}
{such a beautiful view and time of day}
{ashton with dads dwayne and bob}
{the stylish bride}
{sisters}
{peter, jake's uncle and officiant #1, getting the group lined up}

{best buds}

{the fun has already begun!}

{the happy couple and bob}
{pat and susan, mother of the bride}
{jake with his uncle peter}

after the ceremony rehearsal, we headed over to the Icon Building's rooftop for the rehearsal dinner hosted by tiffany & troy (donna, too)! the rooftop overlooked downtown san diego, directly into petco park and over the water - an absolutely gorgeous setting. on top of the view, tiffany outdid herself with a blue & white "vintage forks & knives" theme. she had rustic frames hanging from the roof with forks, knives & spoons chiming in the breeze, utensils in the vases, adorable napkins and more. the italian theme was complete with an amazing dinner, blue and white gingham tablecloths and hydrangea. i was personally a huge fan of the mini glazed donuts for dessert. a perfect bite-sized, no-fuss dessert for a cocktail party. wonderful evening with a toast from the groom and mother of the bride and passing out of wedding party gifts (all amazing!). oh, and there was a private toast from jenny (thankfully caught on film) after all the adults left and just the close friends were left to wrap-up the fun.

{the weather was so perfect we took pedicabs from the hotel}

{still smiling in the pedicab. this is before ting called the cops on our bike driver - true story}

{photos just don't do the view justice}
{such a unique rehearsal dinner and such fun for the out-of-town guests}

{view directly into petco park}

{sae brothers. duh}

{how cute are all the details? mason jars with roses? "bite me" flags in the cake?}
{colby's family from the midwest}
{frames with ornate forks, knives & spoons hanging from them - such a creative idea}
{dwayne, father of the bride, and ashton, little sister of the bride}

{utensils in the vase - such a fun touch}

{love was in the air - and i was in the mini donuts}
{the walkers & a view. love these two}

{tiffany's sister sabrina volunteered to play bartender - and did a fabulous job}

another weekend for the books.
