tombstone was founded in 1879 and was one of the last wide-open frontier boomtowns in the American Old West. In the late 1800's the tombstone's mines produced the largest silver district in Arizona. The Earp brothers - including Wyatt Earp - were all lawmen in the town which led to ongoing conflicts with various cowboys and ultimately a famous shoot out at the O.K. corral.
our first stop was tombstone's famous "boothill graveyard" - it was a quick stop, but fun to see. from there we headed to the town's kitschy main street - sadly, we didn't get to see a live gun fight.
{the night before, we were looking at old photos of vicky and found one of her and her hippie friends at boothill grave - we were kinda recreating the memory here. but this time, she doesn't have a wig on.}
{"he was right, we was wrong, but we strung him up and now he's gone"}
{so this is the famous "ghost" photo from boothill graveyard - the guy coming up out of the grave}

{even dogg had a lager!}
{vicky and i liked this sign...}
{on our way to bisbee...}
