the tings in tombstone.

on saturday we woke up in tucson and decided to play tourists for the day with danny's parents. after cinnamon rolls for breakfast, the four of us loaded up in the truck and drove a couple hours south to check out two landmark arizona towns... tombstone and bisbee.

tombstone was founded in 1879 and was one of the last wide-open frontier boomtowns in the American Old West. In the late 1800's the tombstone's mines produced the largest silver district in Arizona. The Earp brothers - including Wyatt Earp - were all lawmen in the town which led to ongoing conflicts with various cowboys and ultimately a famous shoot out at the O.K. corral.

our first stop was tombstone's famous "boothill graveyard" - it was a quick stop, but fun to see. from there we headed to the town's kitschy main street - sadly, we didn't get to see a live gun fight.

{the night before, we were looking at old photos of vicky and found one of her and her hippie friends at boothill grave - we were kinda recreating the memory here. but this time, she doesn't have a wig on.}

{"he was right, we was wrong, but we strung him up and now he's gone"}

{so this is the famous "ghost" photo from boothill graveyard - the guy coming up out of the grave}

{even dogg had a lager!}

{vicky and i liked this sign...}

{on our way to bisbee...}
