beaver creek, colorado... not exactly roughing it.

last thursday morning we took off to colorado for quinn & meg's wedding weekend. we landed in denver, picked up our rental and headed to beaver creek (neighbors vail). we knew it would be nice, but we didn't know it would be so nice. it was absolutely gorgeous. as we pulled up to the gates of beaver creek - yes, the town is gated - and headed up the hill i had a little chuckle reading the town's welcome literature... the tagline? "beaver creek... not exactly roughing it." yup, that pretty much sums it up. my kind of mountain town.

during the 2.5 hour drive, had the windows down, the john denver cranking and could see green for days.

we stayed at the wedding venue, the park hyatt beaver creek, and it did not disappoint. nestled into the mountain and right above "the village" it was perfection. it had everything you could want. this was the view from our room....

looking the other direction from our balcony.

while danny was busy being #1 groomsman (joke because of the alphabetical listing of guys) - i had time to enjoy the weather and explore the town...

cute cafes and shops throughout the village.

i can only imagine how gorgeous this would be in the winter. we'll be back.

and obviously i read by the pool and spent some time in the jacuzzi.

{i got to meet 2-month old Hudson. jason + kim's little man}
